*** brought to you by Honda*

*** Saturday February 2^nd Frankston BMX Track, Old Wells Road Seaford*

On the 2nd of February Mini SX racing is back in Frankston. For the third successive year the Frankston BMX track will be converted to a mini racing battlefield, where

Australia’s best supercross, motocross and mini racers will go head to head for over $5000 in cash and prizes.

Last years event attracted over 100 competitors and close to 3000 spectators, with the 2008 event set to be even bigger.

Mini bike riding has been by far the largest growth area in motorcycles in Australia however opportunities for riders to compete in a safe controlled environment are

few and far between.

Changes for 2008 include the addition of Amateur classes for new riders to the sport who are not ready to go head to head with the Pro’s. “We had listened to a lot of feedback

from some riders who felt intimidated to have to bang bars with some of the best riders in Australia,” said event co organizer Mick Sinclair.
“We hope the option of racing

the Amateur class will encourage new riders to come out and have some fun.”

Once again Southside promotions are going all out with a world class FMX demonstration presented by Freerider Magazine. Southside Promotions co founder, current

Australian FMX champion and King of The Coast Cam Sinclair will be in attendance with a bag of new tricks that have put him on top of Australian FMX in 2007.

Alongside Cam will be fellow Crusty Demons Blake “Bilko” Williams and Kain Saul.

Of course Bilko needs no introduction; the 2006 X Games bronze medalist was dubbed the Australian FMX rider of the year in 2007 and recently invented the incredible

“ruler back flip.” Bilko has been out of action with injury since June; the Rockstar Energy Mini SX will be his first public appearance in Australia since.

The event combines intense racing action, with fun and the ability for fans to get up and personal watching the best FMX riders in the world perform in front of a hometown crowd.

There will also be scheduled autograph sessions with the boys throughout the day.

Racing action kicks off at 4:00pm and continues under lights until around 10:00pm

Tickets will be sold at the gate for $15, Children under 5 are free.

Riders interested in competing need to at least have a Restricted (fast
50) MA license and be a member of an MA affiliated club. For details go to _www.ma.org.au_
